A Kindergartener Doing Second Grade Math and Reading at a First Grade Level! 

Kosi has always been eager to learn, but since coming to Genie Academy, his progress has been accelerated and his full potential is being unlocked.

Although having only just started Kindergarten, Kosi is learning second grade math topics with us, which makes him almost two years ahead of his peers. His can-do attitude has helped him improve his ability to tackle difficult math problems, and he has greatly increased his ability to solve word problems of increasing complexity. 

Kosi has also greatly benefited from Genie Academy’s reading/writing program, and he is close to completing the first grade curriculum. He has become an avid, more confident reader, and now reads a chapter of a book every night before bed with his parents. His teachers at school recognize that he is academically ahead of his peers, and he is often asked to help his classmates with their hard-to-read words.

Since working with us, Kosi has become more focused, has improved his ability to pay attention to material, and is able to remain engaged during long classes. He has learned to persevere when working on topics he finds difficult, and does not give up before getting the answer. His parents and his teachers at school have both noticed the positive difference in Kosi’s learning, and we at Genie Academy can’t wait to see what he accomplishes next!
