Many schools don't teach all the concepts that the State of New Jersey SLS standards mandate them to teach. Our curriculum is completely aligned with the NJ SLS Standards. We give enough practice so that he child achieves mastery. In Kumon, students are memorizing steps. Like 2+2 = 4. However, we teach them how to arrive at the answer. The only thing they need to memorize is the Times Tables and basic formulae (like area, volume conversions, Pythagoras theorem, etc.), and they never need to memorize an operation.
