7-Year-Old Genie Academy Student Accepted into NJ Charter School’s Gifted and Talented Program

When she was younger Viviana struggled with speaking English. Now, mom credits North Brunswick Reading Genie’s writing program for improving her pronunciation, vocabulary, and confidence, taking her to the next level. Viviana was accepted into Central Jersey College Prep's Gifted and Talented program. Central Jersey College Prep Charter School is a Blue Ribbon school widely regarded for its academic success. To be accepted into its Gifted and Talented Program at such a young age is no easy feat.

Mom believes the support and care Viviana received has helped her score high, across the board in Math and English. Specifically, she mentioned how Reading Genie’s writing curriculum, which not only dedicates an hour to advanced writing tasks (applying the elements of smart essay writing to expository, persuasive, narrative pieces), but also created a collaborative environment where each child shares their work in front of the class, and receives constructive feedback, really helped Viviana’s English flourish to well-above academic level, even at a blue ribbon charter school!

Despite all her achievements, Viviana still desires to accomplish so much more. Most notably, she dreams of going to Princeton University to become a Fashion Designer.
